2016-2017 Acting Opportunities

“The King and I”

Two worlds collide in this classic musical. The year is 1862, and British schoolteacher Anna Leonowens has arrived in Siam to instruct the royal children. But despite her sharp wit and strong will, nothing has prepared Anna for the lessons this rich and complicated new land has to teach her—or for the powerful connection she will forge with its imperious King.

Meet the Instructor

Acting-Classes-TeacherJolene Dodson Bogard has been directing productions since she was 5 years old when she directed neighbor kids to perform puppet shows on her driveway for the mailman and family members. Always wanting to be behind the stage or camera…she honed her skills at USC’s School of Cinema. As a producer, she has worked on ALL major TV networks, and been on international sets worldwide. Her credit list includes projects such as the feature film Mamma Mia, Thomas Crown Affair, and TV show Austin and Ally. Currently Jojo is a staff writer for The Disney Channel and directs their in-house promos for the network. (Her motto: Who wants to commute to LA when I can hang with your kids and have fun on our stage?)
