Ms. Latoya began dancing as a young girl in Syracuse NY, her training includes a strong foundation in Ballet and Contemporary. She is well versed in various forms such as Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap and Musical Theater. Her professional dance training was augmented by attending New York State Summer School of the Arts, Peridance Professional Summer Intensive, North Carolina Dance Theatre and studying with renowned teachers such David Howard, Milton Myers, Virginia Johnson, and Kim Bears-Baily.
She continued her training, along with dance pedagogy and choreography at Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance. Ms Latoya had the privilege of performing professionally with Philadanco and since moving to San Diego she has danced with The PGK Project under the Artistic direction of Peter Kalivas. For the past 2 years as a dance teacher at Youth Arts Academy, Ms Latoya has had fun helping her students develop technique, coordination, musicality, and poise.
